Kiffa International is a brand of ornamental jewelry that uses antique and vintage beads and buttons,ornaments and natural stones as raw materials that are then transformed by the artist, Ado Hino, into jewelry that features a unique and harmonious blend of colors and materials.
I find it fascinating to consider the histories and cultures of the various countries and time periods that produced the antique beads and buttons that I work with as my raw materials. My goal is to breathe new life and meaning into them by recombining them in new and harmonious ways so as to create contemporary jewelry that hasn't entirely forgotten the past. |
